Punkin Chunkin!

This weekend I had the pleasure to attend the Punkin Chunkin Festival in Bridgeville, DE. The Punkin Chunkin Festival is basically a contest to see which team can launch a pumpkin the furthest. The thought, creativity, and engineering skills needed to excel in this game are amazing to watch. Teams built huge catapults and hurled pumkins into an open field. To see it for yourself, tune into the Science Channel on Thanksgiving Night at 8pm. It really is quite interesting.

As part of "The Chunk", a pageant is held that crowns a Little Miss, Teen, Miss, Ms., and Mrs. Punkin Chunkin! Of course I had to be there! I went to support Maddy (my friend Dawn's adorable daughter--Little Miss) and Angie Bell in the Mrs.

Maddy won 2nd Runner Up in Her Division (in Cream Jacket). Super Cute
with loads of personality!!!

Of course I had to take a pic with my girl, Hilary (Mrs. Patriotic United States)

With Angie after her win! Angie will go on to advance to the
Mrs. Delaware US Pageant next summer. Congrats Angie! You were AMAZING!
