On December 6, 2010 I was asked to participate in the Rehoboth Beach Christmas Parade! It was a freezing night on Rehoboth Avenue, but it was sooooo much fun! I was so fortunate to be driven by William Spraul, husband of 2011 1st runner up Gretchen Spraul. Will was so nice to have driven me and even wore a tuxedo to drive Mrs. Delaware in the parade. As a native of New Orleans, parades are a big deal for Will. We had an awesome time!
On December 11th, I co-directed the Miss Atlantic Coast and Atlantic Coast's Outstanding Teen Pageant with Maurene Bullock. The pageants are official preliminaries to Miss Delaware And Miss Delaware's Outstanding Teen. This was my first time directing a pageant and I have a newfound respect for all of the directors I've worked with over the years. It is truly a labor of love! In the end, 2 beautiful young ladies were crowned. Tierra Fair, of New Castle, won the Miss title. And Emily Rufo, of Hockessin, won the teen title. I have no doubt that both of these women will go on to be fabulous representatives and compete well at their respective state pageants.

Several local title holders on hand to volunteer, perform, and help crown the new winners. Another Big Thank you to Kristina Maynard (gray dress) for being a super help that day!
A big thank you to all of the women who competed! As a competitor myself, I understand the guts that it takes to put yourself out their like this. You all are winners! thank you to the pageant staff, volunteers, judges, and sponsors for all of your work and donations. The success of the First Miss Atlantic Coast Pageant belongs to you! And a huge special thank you to Hilary Thomspon (current Mrs. Patriotic US). She really went above and beyond the call of duty and we were so fortunate to have your help!
